Welcome to Julie Lee's Web Site!
Hello, so glad you came to check out my website. I try to keep my schedule updated, so come here often to check out where you can see us performing at a dance, festival, pool party, private event, casino or just about anywhere that music is featured.
My name is Julie Lee and I am based out of West Fargo, ND from mid-April through October each year. Originally from a farmstead outside of Hillsboro, ND, I grew up in a family where music was a big part of our growing up events. As the third of nine children, all taking band and choir, we loved singing for church, school events, bridal showers and family sing-a-longs. Music has always been part of my life and has given me many years of joy.
In the winter months, my husband Hugo and I venture down to Mesa, AZ where we perform for many RV parks and communities throughout the winter season. It is our great second home that we absolutely love!
Our music has certainly evolved through time and although we still play those good old time waltzes and polkas, we also play many venues without old time music and feature a lot of country music and 50’s, 60’s and even some 70’s music as well.
Our music features myself on alto and tenor sax, clarinet, rhythm guitar and vocals, accompanied by Hugo on midi accordion paired with a great rhythm unit. We work largely as a duo, but often, when possible, we love to add a third person - a lead guitar player.
Our music has taken us to all corners of this great country of ours – from North Dakota to Oregon to Arizona to Texas. We’ve played on four cruise ships in the past as well as performing for 15 years in Las Vegas for the Southwest Polka/Dance Party, which has since ended with 2020 being the last year of that event. So many, many wonderful memories of that event and the great people that attended.
I currently have 18 CD’s for sale that go back 25 years, recorded from 1998 to 2017. Check out the “Music” link to view more details on our recordings and also print out an order form. Also, I’ve started a YouTube channel, so look us up at “Julie Lee & her White Rose Band” link. Be sure to subscribe, like and follow us there. Lots of videos – you might even see yourself dancing, you never know.
I’ve met so many wonderful people throughout the years of playing music all over our country. The most satisfying thing to me is seeing people smiling and having a good time, forgetting their troubles and making memories with friends! I’ve always said, “I have one of the best jobs I could ever ask for.” Keep dancing everyone! Thanks for your continued support & friendships.
